The brief was to design a website which would provide dedicated information for the three discrete sections of the School, namely the nursery, the junior department and the senior department.

Additionally, St Nicholas’ was keen to improve its search engine listings to make the school easier to find via the web – a tricky task given the large number of schools which share the same name nationally.

The website provides RSS capability, enabling parents to receive news feed direct to their mobile phones.  The careful wording of the website content to include keywords and meta tags has resulted in a fourfold increase in search engine listings in the twelve months since the site went live.

The use of high quality photography enables the School’s personality and vibrancy to be conveyed through the website and Headmistress, Mrs Annette Whatmough’s welcome to parents on the homepage helps to further personalise the user experience.
