Improving aspects of your school’s offer begins with understanding what parents really think of your school.

The best schools regularly solicit parental opinion an act on the findings. A parental survey is a vital diagnostic tool providing evidence of what your school does well, what it could be doing better and why parents choose your school over the competition. Successful schools don’t rest on their laurels, like successful businesses they continually seek to improve and take their steer from the findings of parental surveys.

For schools experiencing more challenging times the results of a survey targeted at parents who have withdrawn pupils or who declined a place can help determine where changes need to be made to enhance pupil recruitment and retention. Our researchers understand the unique sensitivities of the independent sector and bring their specialist knowledge to bear in the design of a tailor-made survey which can be hosted on line or sent in paper form.

The findings are analysed and synthesised into a clear and concise report and can be presented to your SMT or Governing Body if you wish.

Advertising and Marketing | The King’s School, Chester
The King’s School, Chester chose Independent Schools Marketing to manage its online satisfaction survey for parents of pupils who have just completed their first year at the School.  King’s strives to continually monitor and improve aspects of teaching, the co-curriculum, pastoral care and communication and finds parental feedback an invaluable tool.

Independent Schools Marketing designed a bespoke survey responding to the King’s School’s specific requirements and containing a range of open and closed questions.  The confidential and anonymous survey was hosted on behalf of the client on ISM’s secure servers and parents were invited by the Headmaster to click the link to respond.  The document itself is a dynamic PDF, quick and simple to complete and returned to ISM by email at the click of a button.

To complete the service, ISM’s specialist schools consultants aggregate and analyse the data, presenting the findings in a full colour written report, supported by graphs and tables.  For schools wishing to share the survey findings with a broader audience of governors, parents or staff, we are happy to deliver a presentation on an occasion to suit you.

Vicky Titmuss, Marketing and Development Director said,
“The service from ISM was friendly and efficient and resulted in a very useful report.”
